June 25, 2022
20 members of the SHCC Toronto Alumni Association, and 2 on-duty Alumni Board members, were present at the Wellness education customized for the Alumni by Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association in Scarborough, Toronto.

This event is the outcome of our outreach to Alumni members during the pandemic, canvassing input for what our members would like to participate in other than our usual "Day Trip" and "Annual Dinner".  We gathered that Lifestyle and Wellness is a topic of popular interest to our members who may be contemplating or approaching retirement, or caring for a senior.  This is the first event held in partnership with the Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association.
The 3 hours program covered the following:
1) Safety tips for those who live alone, particularly seniors;
2) Current services provided by Carefirst; and
Lastly a guided tour of selected sections of the Carefirst facilities.
