Joint Schools BBQ Picnic
On July 6, 2013, a BBQ picnic was jointly held with Hong Kong Wah Yan College at the Milne Park in Markham. There was a total of 52 attendees (39 Sacred Heartists and 13 Wah Yan boys).The weather was beautiful, food was plentiful and delicious, and numerous gifts were given out to the participants.
Retreat at St. Francis Centre
The retreat at the St. Francis Centre, located at the beautiful and peaceful rural setting of Caledon Hill, Ontario gave us our first experience from the hustle and bustle of city life and some thoughts to our spiritual nourishment.
We had a total of 20 attendees. The day started with reconciliation and mass, followed by the Station of the Cross outdoor. Father Pierre, one of the residing Franciscan priests, was very charismatic and involved with us the whole day on talks, discussions and other spiritual elements. All in all a very successful and fulfilling event. Many attendees expressed they want to return to the location personally and immerse themselves in the adorable chapel and surroundings.
