The 3 hours program covered two topics:
Topic 1:
"Walk with you - on the road to accompany those with depressive conditions" delivered through sharing and interactive work groups. We focused on:
Side note: "Mental Health Awareness Month" takes place across Canada in May every year. During this month, Canadians learn about mental illnesses and how they affect people's lives in different ways. Our seminar was timely.
Topic 1:
"Walk with you - on the road to accompany those with depressive conditions" delivered through sharing and interactive work groups. We focused on:
- what is depression - types & treatments;
- what are the common symptoms;
- how to support our relatives & friends who have depression; and
- how to maintain good mental health ourselves.

"Social Prescribing" - a means which enables healthcare professionals to refer patients to local, non-clinical services such as community and social services.
